Happy Wedding Wednesday! 🤍 We are 6 months out from the wedding! I finally don’t feel stressed when I looked at our list of things to book. I feel like we have built a really solid team of vendors and I’m really excited to work with all of them to make our perfect day a reality.
On the 19th of March, my sisters, mom, grandma, and I all headed out early in the morning to find a Mother of the Bride & Grandmother of the Bride dress for my mom and grandma. Years ago, when my sister and I were dress shopping for proms my mom would make us try on some of the most outrageous dresses so years later my sister and I had fun finally returning the favor.
We all cracked up the whole time as they came out modeling some of the most frilly, glittery, & poofy dresses we could find. We hit all of the major department stores, Belk, Macy’s, Dillard’s & Nordstrom. It felt like a shopping marathon. Their search for dresses continued on passed this day, but we had such a good time and they both got a better idea of what style and color of dresses they wanted. My mom ended up finding the perfect dress for her at a small local boutique and my grandma actually went back to Dillard’s and found her dress there.
This month we started working with our jeweler to design our wedding bands. We are using the same jeweler that Andrew worked with for my engagement ring. Since Andrew found the jeweler on Instagram, he is not local. So we are collaborating via text and mail. I sent him a few inspo photos and he sent us a ring for me to try on. After my feedback, he sent us 3 different virtual renderings. Out of the 3, I’ve picked one design to move forward with and now we are just making some minor adjustments.
Since we are 6 months out, I have started to really hone in on clean eating and a stricter workout regimen that incorporates higher volume sets and more cardio. I’ve been lifting weights for 1-2 hours 5-6 days a week for the past 5 years so I really wanted to challenge myself. I’m really happy with my body’s overall shape right now. I just want to lean up a bit for the wedding. I can dive more into my wedding “diet” and workout routine in a separate post.
Love always,
