Hello friends! Today I’m starting a new series!
Everyday Magic will be a monthly list of things that have been bringing me joy during the month. The list will be an eclectic combination of the exciting and the ordinary, the obviously newsworthy and the mundane. It will contain anything from events to books to products.
–This ‘see the good’ mug. I picked up this up on a whim one day at Target its from the Hearth & Hand With Magnolia line. Its so cute and simple and the words are a good reminder everyday to focus on the good stuff.
-Pixi SkinTreats. My new skincare items of the month. Both have 5% Glycolic Acid and have been keeping my skin glowing.
–A made bed when I come home from work. When I was in school I was HUGE on making my bed every morning before I did anything else. Since I’ve graduated and started working I’ve gotten away from the habit. This month I’ve made a point to get back into it. It is so nice every day to return to a made bed and it really helps jumpstart the day every morning.
-Tea at night before bed. In my ‘see the good’ mug, I’ve been sitting down every night and just sipping on some tea. Sometimes I watch TV too other times I just sit. Its calming and is a nice pause before heading to bed. ☕️
-Making time to create. The summer is usually so busy and hectic. Between vacations and fun summer activities its really easy to get swept up into the busyness and forget to make time for the things that you enjoy most. At the beginning of October, I really started to refocus my schedule on the things that matter to me, like writing on here or taking photos. Making that space for myself really helps me feel more balanced and settled. The times I’m not creating I don’t feel 100% connected to myself, so I’m making it a point now to not ever stray too far from it.
-The Protein One. There is a Clean Juice across the street from my work. Their avocado toasts are super yummy and this month I’ve been obsessed with this one.
Candles. Lots of them. All of the fall scented ones.
-Cheetah Print Slides. I went huntingggg for these at Target and was having no luck until I found the left one buried underneath a pile of stray shoes that was magically my size. After frenzying through the boxes looking for its lost partner, I found the right shoe and we’ve all been very happy together ever since 😀
-Pumpkin Picking and Apple Picking. Fall traditions that never fail to put a smile on my face and get me ready for chilly weather, hot drinks, oversized sweaters, and fuzzy socks. In Charlotte, I went to the Hall Family Farm for pumpkin picking and delicious pumpkin donut sundaes. For apple picking my family drives up every year to Hendersonville to go to the Stepp Hillcrest Orchard. Both spots are awesome for anyone looking for some autumn fun. There are pumpkins, apples, hayrides, and yummy treats.😋
Always,
