Happy Monday & Happy June!! 🤍 I have some wedding to-do’s today, so I wanted to get this posted for you early. Did May disappear or was it just me? Once the weather gets warmer, I’m convinced the months just melt away and the more magic the month is filled with the faster it seems to melt.
Everyday magic is a monthly list of things that have been bringing me joy during the month. The list will be an eclectic combination of the exciting and the ordinary, the obviously newsworthy and the mundane. It will contain anything from events to books to products.
A week in Florida. Andrew and I started the month by the beach. I went on a work trip with Andrew and we worked in Pensacola, Tampa, and then finally Miami. It was a week full of different hotels, long car rides, and hopping from one coffee shop to another working from my laptop while Andrew went to his meetings. It really kicked off the summer even if we weren’t necessarily “on the beach” being “near the beach” felt summer-y enough. My Miami Travel Diary is already up and I’m working on getting my Pensacola Diary written this week.
A lot of flowers. I continued my gardening fever this month and got several new blooms planted in our front and backyard. I’m starting to think that a hydrangea or two would do really well in our front landscaping so I’m trying to decide what I want to move around to make room for a few new additions. 😇 No one warned me that gardening would be so addicting.
Many Matchas. I’m back on my matcha game. I’ve been using the matcha from Trader Joe’s with their Blueberry Lavender Almond Milk. I know the real thing is better, but the packets from Trader Joe’s are just so easy to grab while I’m there and so easy to make. I’ve been craving it over my morning coffee.
A lot of self-care. This month I started to rev up my self-care. My gym sessions have been more intentional, I’ve been going on more walks, I’ve taken rest days when I need them, & I’ve increased my skin care treatments beyond my seasonal facials. I have a semi-built plan for skin treatments leading up to the wedding and May was the first month of the plan.
A night in Nashville. For Memorial Day Weekend we were headed to Kentucky to spend the holiday weekend with Andrew’s family. On Thursday after work, we decided to drive to Nashville and spend the night there and then only have 2 hours left to Andrew’s parents house on Friday. We stayed at The Union Station Nashville Yards hotel. The hotel is a restored train station which was so unique. Friday we had a late breakfast/brunch at Dose. We both had turkey sandwiches and coffee. We are trying to sneak in as much quality time as we can these next few months leading up to the wedding fesitivies.
Our wedding shower. Over Memorial Day weekend, Andrew’s parents threw us a beautiful wedding shower to celebrate with Andrew’s family in Kentucky. It was so thoughtful and so much fun. We were elated to get to spend the day with everyone.
That’s all the magic for this month, friends! Chat soon 🤍
Always,
