Hey friends! 👋🏼 If you’re new here, welcome to my Everyday Magic series.
Everyday magic is a monthly list of things that have been bringing me joy during the month. The list will be an eclectic combination of the exciting and the ordinary, the obviously newsworthy and the mundane. It will contain anything from events to books to products.
I don’t know what it is about this series, but I cannot stay on the wagon. How hard can it be? A monthly round-up of things I’ve been loving? Clearly very hard, because this is my first one of 2021 and I am combining 2 months because I’ve missed so many. 🙈
So without further ado, let’s get into it.
Fresh flowers. I am actively trying to will Spring into existence this year. In early March, I refreshed our front porch with this adorable welcome mat from Target and I’ve been keeping a fresh arrangement of flowers on the counter every week. Over Easter weekend it got down to 31°F which is chilly for winter here so in early April it is downright alarming. I feel like it’s been cold forever and I am ready for some warmthhhh.
Shoulder pads. Since it’s been hot and cold here, I am still wearing jeans and leggings most days, but I have been loving putting together outfits with these muscle tanks that have padded shoulders. I never thought I’d be excited to have on shoulder pads, but here I am. Paired with some stretchy mom jeans from American Eagle and its a whole dang outfit.
Alani Nu Protein Bars. I am not usually one to gravitate towards protein-advertised products (ie protein bars, protein chips, protein cookies). I find that if its “protein”-anything it usually tastes like sandy chocolate or chocolatey gravel. Not a fan, butttt I am forever in love with two protein bar flavors from Alani Nu; Munchies and Peanut Butter Crisps. I think twice in one week I bought 6 at a time. They are so yummy. Microwaving them for 10-15 seconds and ohhh my gosh its a gooey and warm dessert.
Green Smoothies. On the healthy note, I am also really into green smoothies lately. This one is frozen pineapple, spinach, coconut water, orange juice, collagen protein, and greek yogurt. 😋😋 It tastes like summer.
Dinner at Fin & Fino. Andrew and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on April 4th. 🥰 Our last anniversary we were quarantined away from each other so this was the first one that we got to spend the actual day together celebrating. We went to one of my favorite seafood restaurants in Charlotte, Fin & Fino, for dinner. It was Andrew’s first time so we treated ourselves to The Treatment, which is a fun menu option at F&F where the waiter and chef choose all of your courses for you. We had yummy cocktails and delicious oysters, scallops, and furikake fries.
That’s all for today friends! 🖤🖤🖤
Always,
